Since 1989 Malone O’Regan has provided planning, engineering and environmental services to the Port of Waterford Company for new port facilities at Belview.
The works for which planning has been granted includes:

Dredging works

Reclamation works

Relocation of Lo - Lo container terminal from the Frank Cassin Wharf in Waterford City to a new 500 metre long suspended wharf structure and container compound.

Development of approximately 2 kilometres of berths for handling break bulk and bulky goods. All berths comprise of a reinforced concrete wharf structure supported on steel bearing piles.

Malone O’Regan's role in projects carried out to date includes:

Preparation of all planning applications, environmental impact statements and various permit applications.

Design, tendering and contract administration on several projects including:-

500 metre long container terminal including dredging and reclamation works.

390 metre long bulk terminal including dredging and reclamation works developed in 2 phases.

Railway overbridges, roads, drains and services.
-
River training works comprising of four groynes on the south side of the River Suir.
