Malone O’Regan was retained by Monaghan County Council as Overall Project Manager for the construction of a leisure centre comprising:

• 25 metre x 10.5 metre swimming pool
• 25 metre flume
• Toddler pool
• Jacuzzi
• 500 sq.m. health club and aerobic studio
• Tourist office 
• Tennis courts

The project involved the demolition of an existing pool and the excavation of a large area to accommodate a much more substantial new pool complex.

The structure comprises a reinforced concrete pool with tiled finish, concrete columns and glulam roof beams providing a clear span in the pool hall. The building also features high specification glazed curtain wall façade and external flume.

Malone O’Regan provided project management, civil and structural engineering and project supervisor design stage services for the project.
