This new 32 classroom school will cater for 1,000 pupils and incorporates state-of-the-art ancillary accommodation including: sports halls, special needs facilities, teachers’ and resource rooms together with extensive external play areas which include an all-weather hockey pitch will comply with International Hockey Federation standards. The hockey pitch has been constructed using a new water-based synthetic with flood lighting, spectator barriers, ball stop netting, and ancillaries. The facility will be managed by Fingal County Council and Donabate Portrane Community Centre outside of school hours.

The School was shortlisted in the Best Educational Project Category at the CMG Building Design Awards 2011.

Malone O’Regan were retained as Civil and structural Engineers on the project.
