Silicon & Software Systems is an Electronics Design Company specialising in state-of-the-art design in silicon, software and hardware systems with its headquarters based in South County Business Park in Dublin.

Malone O’Regan was retained civil and structural engineers within a multi-disciplinary design team for two office developments.

The Phase 1 building is a three-storey building with a total floor area of 2,400 sq.m. As the building is highly serviced every effort was made to reduce the depth of the structural zone at the intermediate floor levels. This was achieved using in-situ flat concrete slab construction. The external walls feature stack bonded brickwork and extensive glazing panels.

The building was selected for exhibition by the RIAI and won an Architectural Association of Ireland award in 1998.

The Phase 2 building comprises 5,500 sq.m. on four floors. The building is naturally ventilated and arranged around a stepped atrium. The entrance is at the upper ground floor level with direct access from covered car parking at the lowest level.
